Google I/O 2014 will be held in San Francisco from June 25 to June 26, Google's Sundar Pichai said in a tweet on Wednesday.

The chief of Android, Chrome, and apps wrote on Google+ that although the event will be held as it has been at the Moscone West conference center, the company will be making changes to how developers can register, "so you won't need to scramble the second registration opens."
A new system will be implemented where developers submit "their interest" in attending I/O, and then successful applicants will be randomly selected. Pichai said that more information will be available in March.
Last year's I/O was held in mid-May. The conference has become the launching pad for many of the company's most popular and attention-grabbing products, including the Nexus 7 tablet and the extreme-sports debut of Google Glass in 2012. The public availability of Google Glass is rumored to be in the works for this year's show.
