Crave giveaway: Bracketron SmartLantern portable battery pack
This little go-anywhere gadget charger also works as a lantern and a flashlight. Toss it in your bag for travel or camping and get a boost of power and light.Congrats to Richard A. of Langhorne, Penn., for winning a Microlab FC60BT wireless speaker in last week's giveaway. We're headed into warm-weather season, and this week's prize is ready to head outdoors.
We've got a Bracketron SmartLantern that's a portable gadget charger, lantern, and flashlight all in one. It would make a great companion for your next camping trip, a smart addition to your disaster preparedness kit, or just a good all-occasion power booster.
The device measures just 4 inches high and 1.75 inches wide and contains eight LEDs (64 lumens). One charge on the rechargeable 7,800mAh battery offers 48 hours of illumination or up to five full charges to your mobile device. Last year, CNET reviewer Dong Ngo named the SmartLantern his favorite portable battery pack for travel.
Normally, a Bracketron SmartLantern would run you $79.99, but this one will cost you a mere $0. So what do you have to do to win it? There are a few rules, so please read carefully.
- Register as a CNET user. Go to the top of this page and hit the "Join CNET" link to start the registration process. If you're already registered, there's no need to register again.
- Leave a comment below. You can leave whatever comment you want. If it's funny or insightful, it won't help you win, but we're trying to have fun here, so anything entertaining is appreciated.

- The winner will be chosen randomly. The winner will receive one (1) Bracketron SmartLantern, with a retail value of $79.99.
- If you are chosen, you will be notified via email. The winner must respond within three days of the end of the sweepstakes. If you do not respond within that period, another winner will be chosen.
